Date to Remember

We will be CLOSED, Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day.

Current Office Procedures

Over the years, we have always strived to keep a very clean and sanitized office. For the past month and a half, we have taken even more precautions and implemented extra cleaning procedures for your safety.

Tables are being cleaned before each person/family enters the room. All surfaces, door handles and other high touch areas are being sanitized and cleaned regularly throughout the day. We are striving to keep our hand sanitizer filled for your use and always have hand soap and water available.

All of the staff are wearing masks and washing their hands routinely while they are in the office. Employees are staying home if they are sick or have a fever.

We have halted our walk-in style visits at this time and implemented an appointment system to limit the number of people in the office at one time, so we are able to follow appropriate social distancing guidelines. You can read more about the appointment scheduling below.

With following government regulations, we are asking that patients wear a mask upon entering/exiting into the public areas of the office. We also are asking that visitors do not come into the office at this time, unless it is a child in the care of a current patient.

Your health is our top priority. We will continue to make the necessary changes to follow guidelines for your protection. Thank you for understanding changes we have to make right now, we really appreciate your patience and sticking with us through this.

Remember to keep calm and keep your stress down. Get your rest, drink lots of water and limit your sugar intake. Exercise, eat nutritious food and stay on track with your adjustments. A clear nervous system is the best defense against anything!

Visits are BY APPOINTMENT, until further notice

Due to the COVID-19 regulations, we can no longer function on our regular walk-in style visits at this time. We must see everyone on an appointment basis. Please disregard our regular hours at this time. This will continue until further notice, once government guidelines change. We thank you so much for understanding. Please let us know if you need anything or have any questions!

Gardening for Wellness

Gardening is a wonderful way to spend your free time. Soothing, relaxing, and peaceful, the benefits are numerous. It is a great way to get in fresh air, family time, healthier vegetable options, and exercise. Deciding what to put into your garden based on climate and temperatures, and where it will go are big decisions to make when just starting a garden.

Topsoil or nutrient-rich dirt will be important to use to grow outdoor plants. Keeping the topsoil nurtured will help grow really healthy and nutritious vegetables. Healthy topsoil consists of a complex community of living creatures. It has microorganisms, living bacteria and fungi, as well as other organic matter that gives it a rich, black color. The easiest option to achieve this is buying healthy topsoil bags and putting it directly on top of the existing poor quality soil. Another way, is to till in organic materials and natural fertilizers and compost.

Before beginning to lay-out your garden, do a little reading and figure out what can may grown most successfully in this climate. Here are some healthy and nutritious options:

Garlic - This superfood has natural antibiotic properties, has been suggested to have anti-cancer properties and is rich in potassium, sulfur, zinc, saponins and phosphorus with moderate levels of Vitamin A, C and selenium, and grows well in most soil types.

Purple Cauliflower - Its color is caused by anthocyanins, the same heart-healthy compound found in red wine, and this cruciferous vegetable can be grown almost anywhere.

Spinach - Easily one of the most nutrient-rich vegetables, this leafy vegetable should be planted during  cooler spring or autumn seasons.

Kale - Another great one, this rich, green, leafy vegetable is an amazing source of a multitude of nutrients and is easy to grow from seed in early spring or fall when temperatures are cooler.

Some neat ideas to plant in the garden with the kids could involve choosing a theme, such as a “Pizza Garden” or a “Salad Garden.” A pizza garden could include tomatoes and seasoning for the sauce or toppings such as zucchini, eggplant, peppers and onions. A salad garden can include anything you like in your salad. Family gardens are a wonderful way to spending productive time together.
